IT is going to be difficult for Rangers to cope with their injuries in the cup games they have coming up next month.

Raith Rovers are not a bad side and the Gers will need to be at their best to beat them in the Ramsdens Cup final at Easter Road.

And Dundee United are going to be difficult to overcome even with the majority of the supporters inside Ibrox behind the Light Blues.

I think Ian Black will be the player who will be missed the most. He is the sort who likes to win the ball, put in tackles, dominate midfield.

In the last cup final he played in, when Hearts beat Hibs to win the Scottish Cup a couple of years ago, he was absolutely magnificent and was rightly named man of the match.

He is not everybody's cup of tea. But he is the sort of player you want in your side for a cup final or a major tie. You need the dig he provides.

It will be a blow if, as looks likely, Andy Little and David Templeton are ruled out. Nicky Law, too, will be missed but I think he should be okay.

Nicky Clark is back and scored the winning goal against Brechin City at Glebe Park on Sunday.

His tail is up and he is hitting the heights he was before he got injured.

But Black is the one who will be missed the most.
