SIMONSEN (5) Kept his top tucked in and his laces neatly tied.

Could have been replaced by a traffic cone given how busy he was kept.

McGREGOR (6) Acquitted himself well in physical battle with Obadeyi. Will have more testing days this season.

MOHSNI (7) Commanding. Mopped up everything Killie threw at Rangers, which was not much. Won his headers and made key challenges in defence and in midfield.

McCULLOCH (6) Strolled through it without breaking sweat. No mean feat at 36.

FOSTER (6) Kept McKenzie quiet without being overly stretched.

AIRD (6) His pace caused the visitors a major headache down the right. Quick and accurate with his delivery, especially in the first half.

LAW (7) Stunning first-time finish to open the scoring after 20 minutes from the edge of the area. Faded in the second half before replicating his earlier effort by grabbing a sublime second goal with six minutes to go.

BLACK (5) Dragged a shot just wide after 26 minutes. Kept it simple in what was turned out to be a tame afternoon.

MACLEOD (6) Linked up well with Miller and Law while his special awareness and surges forward caused Killie problems. Couple of lashed shots late on the only black mark against him.

DALY (4) Very quiet afternoon at the office for the Irishman, who contributed little. Surely ex-Kilmarnock man Boyd, who eventually replaced him and scored, would have been a better choice given the opposition?

MILLER (5) Could have had a penalty early on if it wasn't for a great tackle by Barbour. He kept running while offering an out ball as the visitors pressed in the second half. Subbed after 70 minutes.

BOYD (5) Came on for Daly with 20 minutes to play. Scored within 60 seconds.

CLARK (3) Brought on for Miller. Played his part.

SHIELS (2) Got a five-minute run-out in MacLeod's place.
