Andy McKenzie of Larkhall asked:

"Who should play at centre-half for Rangers?"

Derek said: "Ally McCoist often gets criticised for a lack of tactical nous. But against Queen of the South he made two changes at half-time which won the game.

"He moved Lee McCulloch alongside Bilel Mohsni in the centre of defence and brought on Ian Black. Rangers played much better after that and won 4-2.

"I would keep McCulloch and Mohsni there and persevere with Black, who performed well against Queens, in central midfield.

"I would also stick with Darren McGregor at right-back - even if Richard Foster is available."
