DAVID JOHNSTON from Bridge of Weir, asked Derek: What was the most spectacular goal you ever witnessed?
Without a shadow of a doubt, it was David Cooper's famous goal for Rangers against Celtic in the Drybrough Cup Final back in 1979.
He made it entirely himself. He chipped the ball over the heads of three Celtic defenders and slotted home. He didn't need any help at all.
Sandy Jardine actually scored a screamer that day.
He ran full 80 yards and then netted.
But nobody remembers that one because of Davie's wonderful effort.
Just email Derek at dj@eveningtimes.co.uk and we'll print the answer alongside the question.
