I HAVE said for many years that Rangers supporters should be represented in some way at the Ibrox club.

So I am all for the creation of a Rangers Fans' Board. And I think it is good that the members of this new body will be voted on democratically by Light Blues supporters.

The club this week announced the formation of a nominations committee whose job will be to draw up a shortlist of candidates.

Fans can put themselves up for election and the great Rangers public will then be able to decide who goes forward to represent them.

Hopefully, people who care passionately about the club and want to take it forward will be elected to the new body.

There has been a lot of negativity in the past about how the club has treated fans.

They definitely deserve to have a voice and have chosen representatives putting across their concerns and views.
