WORRYING stories continue to abound about what is going on inside Ibrox.

Like 99.9% of supporters, I don't know what the future holds at Rangers.

But it was interesting to see that chief executive Graham Wallace had assured the players their futures were safe at a meeting last week.

First of all, I think it was correct that a guy in a senior position at the club should tell people their jobs are secure. Rangers are facing financial problems and there is widespread speculation about what lies ahead.

So it is only right for somebody at the very top to try to allay any fears staff may have.

But it was interesting that Wallace was confident that everything would be fine. He is not going to say that if it is untrue.

The £3million that was brought in from the share offering this month will not sustain Rangers until the end of the season. Moves, then, must be afoot in the background for the chief executive to make that guarantee.
