IT was just a few weeks ago that I was advising Bilel Mohsni not to get embroiled in exchanges with Rangers supporters during matches.

Now it is Richard Foster who has allowed his own fans to get to him during a game.

The right-back snapped back at the travelling support during the Petrofac Training Cup game with East Fife in Methil on Tuesday night.

I know only too well that Light Blues fans can be hard to deal with, especially when there is pressure on the team.

But to be a success at Rangers you have to cope with all the media scrutiny and the demands of supporters. If you can't hack that then Rangers isn't the club for you.

I do feel Richard gets stick no matter how well he has been playing. When Rangers scored their second in midweek he went back over to the fans he spoke to and gave them a clap and a smile.

I'm not sure there was much in it. Nevertheless, he has to focus fully on the football and not let things get to him.

When you play at Ibrox you are expected to win cups and leagues. If you don't produce what is required you have to expect to receive some abuse.
