Tribunal doesn't make sense

I WAS astonished to discover it being claimed Rangers were to be taken to an employment tribunal by 67 players as a result of the turbulent events at the end of last season.

It just didn't make any sense to me for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I didn't think there was anywhere near that number of players on the Ibrox books at that time.

The squad had already been trimmed and you'd have been lucky to have half that amount of senior players on the books.

Secondly, I also didn't expect any of the existing players to be involved in such a situation, considering Rangers have now moved on and they have agreed to help the club move forward.

Lee McCulloch has con-firmed he is not having anything to do with such action and he won't be the only one.

A number of the players moved to big clubs in England and, in some situations, deals were struck between the two clubs over a compensation package so it was my understanding that, with the exception of a few players, most had moved on.

I've known Fraser Wishart from PFA Scotland for many years and he is great at his job, so it has surprised me that they made such an announcement and decision without consulting all of the players involved. It doesn't look good for them.
