SHAMED former Rangers player Bilel Mohsni has been handed a four-game ban by the SFA who also issued him with a notice of complaint over his actions at the end of Sunday's play-off final.
Motherwell due Lionel Ainsworth and Craig Moore have also cited for violent conduct for their part in the shocking scenes at Fir Park.
The club have confirmed that their players accepted a two-game ban from the Compliance Officer.
Unused substitute Fraser Kerr, who was sent off for violent conduct by referee Craig Thomson after the match, will also serve an immediate two-match suspension.
However, Motherwell striker Lee Erwin, who was left with a bloody face after being punched by Mohsni, was not sent off as was thought at the time and instead was handed down a a retrospective caution for adopting an aggressive attitude and will not suffer any suspension.
Motherwell manager Ian Baraclough said: "Whilst it is a totally normal reaction to defend a team-mate who is the victim of what we all agree was a serious incident, we all recognise that striking out has no place on a football field.
"Both players were keen to protect their team-mate, but accept the punishment from the Compliance Officer and are keen to draw a line under the whole affair."
