WALTER SMITH reckons Dave King's Rangers blueprint will not be affected by the SFA's 'fit and proper' examinations.
The Ibrox chairman-in-waiting will have to answer questions over his tax affairs and role on the board during Craig Whyte's tenure before he is given the go-ahead by the football authorities.
Earlier this month, King's move to join the new Rangers regime was rubber-stamped by Lord Woolman in the Court of Session.
Former Light Blues boss Smith said: "The Courts seem to think that he is okay, and the SFA will give their judgement on it.
"Dave has stepped in so I don't see, whether he is officially involved on the board or unofficially involved in it, it will change the way he is going to look at how Rangers Football Club will go forward.
"It would obviously be better for him if he was involved in the club and I think that would be the more straightforward way for everybody."
