January 19: Interim boss Kenny McDowall tenders his resignation.

January 20: It is announced that Sandy Easdale has purchased just over 1million shares, taking his stake to 6.45%

January 27: The controversial £10million loan deal with Ashley is confirmed. As part of the agreement, 26% of Rangers Retail Ltd is transferred to Sports Direct and fixed charges are granted over Murray Park, Edmiston House, the Albion and the club's registered trademarks. SD also have the right to nominate two directors.

January 28: The Three Bears hit out at the board for accepting the Ashley loan in favour of their multi-million pound proposal and claim Llambias wanted them to vote against the King EGM resolutions.

February 2: Rangers sign five players on loan from Newcastle on deadline day. McDowall later reveals he has been ordered to play all of them when fit.

February 4: King, Murray and Gilligan address the media in Glasgow to outline their vision for the future for Rangers. King declares victory in the boardroom battle and allays fears over 'fit and proper persons' tests.

February 6: The board set out their case for shareholder support as the EGM is called for March 4. The Gers hierarchy are once again critical of King.

February 13: Ahead of the final home game before the EGM vote, John Brown and Nacho Novo join thousands of fans at Ibrox to protest against the board.

February 17: Chief executive Llambias made moves to disband the Rangers Fans Board after they released controversial minutes from a meeting with him and Leach.

February 20: After two London hotels pull out of hosting the event, Rangers confirm the EGM will be held on March 6 at Ibrox.

February 25: In a move that many reckon signal the writing is on the wall for the board, James Easdale quits Ibrox. Rangers are forced to correct statements regarding Easdale's remuneration and Llambias' history at Newcastle United.

March 2: Chairman Somers resigns from the board, leaving just Llambias and Leach in King's sights.

March 3: King declares a 'landslide' win but Llambias and Leach cling to power and it is announced the second £5million Ashley loan could be drawn down.

March 4: Nomad WH Ireland quits and RIFC plc shares on the AIM are suspended.
