RANGERS have received a Hogmanay bonus after the SFA told them that Ian Black has not picked up an automatic ban.
The club believed the midfielder had been cautioned in the second half of the 1-1 draw with Stranraer on Boxing Day, which would have been his sixth yellow card of the season and incurred a suspension.
However, referee Andrew Dallas' match report showed that Lee McCulloch and Sebastien Faure were the only players booked.
But Black will still have to tread carefully as a yellow card either on Thursday against Airdrie or Stenhousemuir on Sunday would see him sit out the trip to Forfar on January 20.
