This was the first of four mind-boggling costumes displayed in a night that played back like a greatest hits compilation.
Classic numbers such as Chain Reaction and Baby Love turned the huge venue into an ecstatic mass karaoke.
The world-renowned motown songstress sashayed around the stage with a ceaseless energy that belied her 63 years; in four inch high platform shoes she shook and shimmied all through the evening.
It is not only her stunning figure however, that seems unaffected by a career that spans fully five decades, as her voice is an awesome and versatile instrument that filled every nook of the barn-like SECC without missing a note.
