FORMER Celtic star Derek Riordan says he has no regrets about cutting his losses at Parkhead and returning to Hibs.

The likes of Massimo Donati and Chris Killen have been given a new lease of life by the arrival of former Easter Road boss Tony Mowbray at Celtic.

However, Riordan is not looking over his shoulder.

He was released from the final year of his Hoops contract and returned to Leith in August having fallen out with then Celtic boss Gordon Strachan.

He said: "It's over now, I've just to get on with it.

"I'm back at Hibs and enjoying it.

"My Celtic contract was out just there, so it would have been up to Mowbray what happened then.

"But I had to get out anyway for the football aspect. I couldn't be sitting on the bench or in the stand every week.

"I'm happy here. I'm playing football again and I just need to keep doing that.

"It's been quite hard under Yogi but it's working for us just now, so we just need to keep going.

"He's focused on the passing for this season and it's good. I'm enjoying it.

"You go out and try your hardest. I get frustrated with myself if I don't score in a game, even if I'm playing brilliantly, because scoring is what strikers are meant to do."

Hearts'keeper Marian Kello has signed a new one-year deal.

The Slovakian ended last term as first-choice keeper under Csaba Laszlo.

"I am happy that Marian's contract is resolved and he can now concentrate on his job," said Laszlo.

Hearts have maintained they are holding out for £5m for Andrew Driver. They knocked back a £2m bid for Driver from Burnley three weeks ago.
