A CELEBRITY tanning brand is to open its first dedicated spa in the world - in Glasgow.
Fake tan firm St Tropez will unveil its first concept spa at Frasers in Buchanan Street in the new year.
The UK's top-selling self-tan brand revealed the deal after discovering pasty Glaswegians are responsible for the company's biggest increase in sales anywhere in the country.
The new spa, due to open around March, will offer a total tanning experience from exfoliation to spray tanning.
Although hundreds of independent beauty salons around the country offer St Tropez this is the company's first step towards its own chain of tanning salons.
The firm's chief executive Michelle Feeney said: "There's a glamour about Glasgow and we thought where better to test than in Glasgow where we have our most receptive audience?
"It's the heartland of tanning and Glasgow girls and guys have embraced it."
Paris Hilton, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller all use the brand and have their bodies bronzed by St Tropez tan-man to the stars James Read, who was in Glasgow last week to prepare models and celebrities for the Scottish Style Awards.
Michelle added: "We will be searching for our own James' up here."
The firm are also opening a new counter in Debenhams in the next few weeks which will offer St Tropez products as well as the chance to have a facial spray tan in store.
