STAFF at the Money Shop in Glasgow are being given crash courses in Polish.
Employees at the Renfield Street store are being taught some basic phrases following a rise in the number of Polish customers using the shop.
Research among the Polish community in the UK has revealed their top financial priority is to be able to transfer money home to provide for their families living in Poland in a safe and easy way.
Jillian Grant, The Money Shop's Glasgow store manager, said: "The Money Shop is all about making life easier for our customers and with an increase in the number of Polish people utilising our money transfer services, we want to demonstrate our efforts to speak to Polish customers using their own language.
"It has been received extremely well though we've made sure one of the phrases is "excuse my poor Polish!"
