FORSTER (9) Repeated Nou Camp heroics with stunning one-handed reflex save to deny Lionel Messi in the second period.

LUSTIG (8) Some timely interceptions and blocks but also confident with the ball at his feet and moving play out of his own defence.

WILSON (7) Incurred the wrath of boss once or twice for allowing Barca too much space, but stuck to task and worked hard.

AMBROSE (7) Looked solid as he tried to contain and deny the Barcelona attack.

MATTHEWS (8) In at left-back for injured Emilio Izaguirre and coped exceptionally well. Had one low slung cross that just eluded Georgios Samaras and defensive work was impressive.

COMMONS (6) Had a tough shift on his hands trying to restrict the movement of the ever industrious Jordi Alba who seemed to always find space to exploit down the right-hand side.

WANYAMA (8) Replicated a header straight from the training ground when he bulleted a header in at the back post to put Celtic in front. The midfielder did not look out of his depth.

LEDLEY (7) Forced into chasing shadows for much of the game but industrious and energetic as he tried to break up play and get Celtic out of their own half.

MULGREW (7) In at left midfield and pinpoint delivery from corner for Wanyama to net. Put in decent defensive shift to help Adam Matthews but could have done better when staring into the eyes of Victor Valdes.

MIKU (7) Clever feet, good technique and his duel with Alex Song sucked the Barca player into a series of fouls, one of which earned him a booking and another of which should really have seen him sent off.

SAMARAS (8) Captain for the night, the Greek international led the line and used his aerial presence to unsettle Barcelona whenever Celtic got forward.

WATT (7) Night of his life. Barely on the pitch for Mikael Lustig when he hit home a fine finish.

KAYAL (4) On for the closing stages for Samaras as Celtic saw it out.
