ADAM CUMMINS is counting on Motherwell to soon turn their frustration into points.

The Fir Park men were again left with less than they deserved from a 1-1 draw against Dundee

Next up for Well is a testing trip to Inverness on Saturday, and Cummins says Well will use their frustration to fire them up for their mission to the Highlands.

The Well stopper said: "It would be a lot worse if we were not creating chances.

"If you look at the Dundee United game in midweek and the chances we created. Then against Dundee, to only have the one goal and a point from both is unbelievable.

"But that has made us more determined to go to Inverness and get a win.

"A big factor is we have not scored first in either game with the Dundee sides.

"Dundee in particular were able to sit in and frustrate us and make life difficult.

"But look at these two games and maybe last season we would have had a draw and a win, that's the frustrating thing."

The young Scouser impressed at the heart of the Well defence and said he is relishing an extended run in the Fir Park first team.

Cummins said: "At the start of the season if someone had said I would get the number of starts I have, I would have laughed.

"But although I have been lucky with injuries and suspension to others opening things up for me, I feel I have done a job.

"I will need to keep that going at Inverness."

In their previous two SPL outings, Motherwell had started well, with success at St Johnstone but frustration against Dundee United.

After a quiet opening, Motherwell peppered the Dundee goal, with keeper Rab Douglas defying Nicky Law and Keith Lasley.

Then just before the half-hour mark, Nicky Riley drove through the middle of the Motherwell defence before firing past helpless Well keeper Darren Randolph.

In the final attack of the first half, Henrik Ojamaa's 16-yard drive was parried by Douglas and Michael Higdon stroked home the loose ball from point-blank range.

It was no more than the Steelmen deserved.

Dundee were almost back in front in 73 minutes when Declan Gallacher's volley was deflected off Law and only a brilliant tip over by Randolph kept parity.

However, try as they might Motherwell failed to carve out a winner and when substitute Bob McHugh's diagonal, injury-time strike screwed wide a share of the spoils was the confirmed outcome.
