IAN BLACK has urged Ally McCoist's SPL signing targets to grab the chance to join the Rangers revolution with both hands.

Ibrox manager McCoist revealed he plans to make moves to sign players on pre-contract agreements during the January transfer window before waiting until the beginning of September when the transfer embargo expires to register them.

Motherwell's Jamie Murphy is understood to top Rangers' wish-list and midfielder Black says he would encourage any player to follow in his footsteps and consider moving down the divisions to play for the Light Blues.

He said: "I would definitely recommend a move to Rangers to any player – even players playing in the SPL. I've loved every minute of being at the club. If someone wants to be part of a massive club, and hopefully we will be back in the top flight as soon as possible, then they will get that here.

"The fan base is incredible and the training ground is first class. If the manager is looking to bring in new players, I'm sure they'd enjoy playing their football here."

Black was joined by Kevin Kyle in leaving Tynecastle in the summer when their contracts expired and David Templeton quickly followed them from Hearts.

Dean Shiels made the same decision when his contract expired at Kilmarnock and Black says they have all enjoyed the experience of playing in front of a sell-out Ibrox as well as large crowds on the road in the Third Division.

He said: "Playing in the Third Division is a new experience for us, but we believe it won't be long before the club is back where it belongs."

Meanwhile, Francisco Sandaza is hoping to be in the frame for a first team return after coming through a reserve match against Livingston yesterday.

The Spaniard has been sidelined since late September when he suffered a broken cheekbone against Motherwell in the League Cup.
