STUART McCALL expects to lose at least one of his Motherwell stars during the January transfer window.

A number of the Steelmen's key men have been linked with moves away from Fir Park next month after another impressive start to the season from the Lanarkshire side.

Jamie Murphy has previously spurned a move to npower Championship side Blackpool while Henrik Ojamaa is attracting the interest from Polish outfit Lech Poznan.

McCall's men face Aberdeen this afternoon aiming to get back on track in their bid to finish second in the SPL and the Well boss hopes he will not see his squad sold off.

He said: "When John Boyle gave me the job, he said I had to finish in the top six and sell a player. We haven't sold a player.

"Jamie could have gone a while ago and we have had offers for Hutchinson and Law but not ones that we think are worth them going.

"It is a double-edged sword. You want the club to be stable and we won't stand in a young lad's way if there is an opportunity for them to go and better themselves.

"Jamie will be one that will be up for consideration. He made the decision last year not to go to Blackpool, for whatever reason.

"It might have been a sensible decision. There are a lot of lads that will look at it and while their bank balance will be better, you can go through at least five or six that have moved and not played.

"From a manager's point of view, I would love to keep the players until the end of the season.

"From a realistic point of view, I would expect to lose one, and no more than one, in the window."
