FORSTER (6) Rarely troubled but pulled off a smashing save when he blocked a Colin Nish header at close range to deny Dundee what would have been a leveller.

IZAGUIRRE (6) Not his finest hour. Still struggling to replicate the form that endeared him to the Hoops support in his debut season. Too wasteful, too often.

WILSON (6) May find himself in trouble after TV cameras appeared to catch a flailing elbow on John Baird, which the referee missed. Other than that spat, there wasn't too much to concern the defender.

MULGREW (6) Deployed at centre-half but forward forays were frequent. Some decent deliveries from set pieces but too often Celtic failed to make the most of them.

AMBROSE (6) Played on left-hand side but another who never seemed to quite find his stride. Slotted back into centre-back after the interval.

KAYAL (6) Combative and industrious but a difficult evening for the midfielder who found the going tough against a stuffy Dundee side.

WANYAMA (6) Both he and Izaguirre caught the flak from Neil Lennon when they were caught in a mix-up in their own box, but Dundee were unable to make the mistake count.

BROWN (6) Another who struggled to live up to the kind of standard he has set for himself this season. Looks like he could do with the benefits from the winter break.

SAMARAS (6) Netted the opener with an impressive over-head kick and one effort saved by Rab Douglas but ponderous at times.

HOOPER (7) Cut a frustrated figure for most of the game but netted a fine goal to seal the points for Celtic when he dinked a perfect lob over Douglas. Booked after a second-half clash with Kyle Benedictus.

WATT (6) Had a hand in the opener when his shot from Mulgrew's corner was parried by Douglas and then converted by Samaras.

REPLACEMENTS

LUSTIG (6) Appeared after the break for Mulgrew. Set up Hooper for Celtic's second goal.

FORREST (4) Brought into the fray on the hour mark as he pushes for optimum fitness.

McCOURT (4) Arrived for Watt with just over 10 minutes on the clock but little chance to make any impact.
