THERE is no doubt Ally will be looking for players and talking to people in the coming months.
Neil Murray, Rangers' chief scout, has great contacts not just in Britain but across Europe, and he will be looking out for players to sign come September when the registration ban is up.
Remember, Rangers as a club are still a huge draw.
Ally will know exactly what he needs and I am sure he will be looking to strengthen defensively.
A couple of solid centre-backs will be on his shopping list, I would imagine, and he will be looking and speaking to agents to see if players would be willing to join the club next summer.
All the preparation work will be getting done just now. Deals don't just happen overnight.
A lot of work will be going on and they will have definite targets in mind. Players will be coming in and now is the time to start looking to do some deals.
