GIVE LEE SUPPORT says MATTHEW LINDSAY
THE 1-1 draw against tiny Elgin City at Ibrox was not the first disappointment for Rangers in recent weeks.
No, their display against Queen's Park just after Christmas, in front of 30,000 of their fans at Hampden, also left a lot to be desired.
All is clearly not well with the Light Blues at the moment – despite their comfortable lead in the Irn-Bru Third Division. I personally feel Gers manager Ally McCoist should change his formation to a more conventional 4-4-2.
Lee McCulloch looked isolated against Elgin at the weekend. The club captain only really had one decent scoring chance in the 90 minutes.
So why not play Francisco Sandaza alongside him? That formidable frontline would be a real handful for any defence in Scotland. Playing with a lone striker has certainly worked for McCoist so far.
McCulloch's haul of goals is testimony to its success. But, at home especially, there is no reason a club can Rangers cannot throw caution to the wind a bit more in the fourth tier.
