ALLAN MOORE admits Morton are making their own lives difficult after losing their place at the top of the Irn-Bru First Division.

Just a week after taking pole position in the title race following impressive wins over promotion rivals Dunfermline and Partick Thistle, the Ton have slipped back to second place as Peter MacDonald rescued a point at Central Park.

The 1-1 draw with the Blue Brazil came days after the Greenock outfit crashed 3-0 at home to bottom club Dumbarton and boss Moore is keen for his side to pick up their form.

He said: "We can't keep giving teams a lead because no matter who you are playing in this division it is difficult to get back.

"Everybody expected us to win and if we had gone 1-0 up it would have been different. But that was a harder game than we got against Thistle or Dunfermline. When you are top of the league everybody wants to shoot you down."

Meanwhile, Ton keeper David Hutton has agreed a new contract that will keep him at Cappielow until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old will battle with Derek Gaston for the No.1 spot.
