ZALUSKA (6) Saved well from Ross Barbour in both halves.

But he got in a fankle with a Rory McKeown cross. Appeared to fumble ball over the line. Lucky the linesman's view was blocked.

LUSTIG (7) Brought back into the team. His distribution was outstanding and he was decent defensively.

WILSON (6) Played in the centre and then on the left of a three- man defence. Limited the number of chances Killie created.

MULGREW (6) Should have done better when he got his head on an Emilio Izaguirre cross in the first half. But put in a powerful shift.

IZAGUIRRE (5) Played in an advanced role on the left. Whipped some excellent crosses into the box but limped off injured after just half an hour.

MATTHEWS (8) Had netted just once for Celtic before last night. So to score twice was incredible. But he deserved his strikes and the Man-of-the-Match award.

BROWN (6) The captain was his usual industrious self in midfield. Looks to have put his injury problems firmly behind him.

WANYAMA (6) Subdued. Started in midfield before dropping back into central defence. Was at fault for the Kilmarnock goal.

COMMONS (7) Struck the crossbar twice with long-range attempts in the first half and always looked capable of creating an opening for the champions.

SAMARAS (6) Strived hard to net the opening goal and injured himself doing so. Came off just before half-time.

HOOPER (6) Nearly scored his first goal from outside the penalty box in 29 minutes. Only denied by keeper Cammy Bell.

SUBSTITUTES:

LEDLEY (6) Dropped after the League Cup semi-final defeat. Came on and netted his side's first goal from 25 yards.

WATT (6) The youngster's form has perhaps dipped of late. But he worked his socks off after replacing Samaras.

STOKES (6) Netted his first goal since returning from injury. Took it beautifully, too. Set up Matthews for his second. His showing suggested he has a future at Parkhead.
