VICTOR WANYAMA will leave all talk about his future until the summer – after a heart-to-heart yesterday with Neil Lennon.

The Celtic boss revealed he sat down with the midfielder just hours before he went out and helped his club defeat  Kilmarnock 4-1 to extend their lead in the title race to 15 points.

Lennon explained there had been no offers for Wanyama.

By contrast, Gary Hooper has been the subject of a third bid from Norwich, which Celtic have again had no hesitation in rejecting. In the event the striker is sold to the Canaries tonight, Lennon is expected to make moves to sign Kevin Doyle from Wolves on loan.

The striker could be the subject of even more attempts to wrench him from Parkhead before the window closes at 11pm tonight. But while Hooper's future remains uncertain, the club's other prize asset, Wanyama is happy to stick around. Lennon revealed: "I had a chat with Victor yesterday morning, and he looked a lot more like himself last night.

"We're very happy with Victor. We think he is a wonderful talent and it does not surprise us that there are a lot of admirers.

"We will review the situation in the summer or even in between now and then.

"He is a brilliant kid, and you have to remember he is still only 20, and I think people overlook that at times."

Lennon reminded Wanyama that the next time he runs out at Parkhead, the opposition will be Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The player is savouring the prospect and told journalists in his homeland: "I can confirm I will be at Celtic. We are playing well and our Champions League dream is on and, right now, I'm looking forward to the big game against Juventus.

"A lot has been said and written about my intended move, but I have not given it much thought.

"Even my manager feels I should play until the end of the season for Celtic. Then, from that point, the doors can be open for a move,"

Manchester United and Arsenal are among the leading clubs who have been closely monitoring Wanyama's progress.

The contract which Celtic have offered him remains unsigned, adding to speculation which has been smothering him for the past couple of months.

Lennon hopes that, when the window closes tonight, a weight will be lifted from the shoulders of the man signed from Belgium for just £900,000 18 months ago.

Unless there is a massive offer on its way before the deadline, Hooper will also be allowed to get on with adding to the 23 goals he has scored this season.

Lennon has not given up hope of adding another player before tonight's deadline, and Swedish keeper, Victor Norring is here to see if he fits the bill.

The manager said of the Trelleborgs FF shot- stopper: "At the moment, with Fraser Forster being out, we have only got Lukasz Zaluska and young Robbie Thomson, so it is not ideal."
