RANGERS' bid to bounce back from their painful 3-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Dundee United is set to be hit by the loss of another three players.

Ross Perry and Francisco Sandaza are both struggling to be fit for the Irn-Bru Third Division clash with Queen's Park at Ibrox on Saturday.

And striker Kal Naismith will definitely miss out on the Glasgow derby match – and the visit to Clyde on February 16 – after receiving a straight red card from referee Euan Norris for a foul on Willo Flood.

Gers centre-half Perry limped off in the first half with a hamstring strain and is highly doubtful for the visit of the Spiders.

Northern Ireland Under-21 captain Chris Hegarty, whose favoured position is central defence, took over from Perry on Tayside and will slot back in there if his team-mate fails to make it.

However, the loss of Sandaza, who failed to reappear for the second half of the cup tie with his former club United due to a thigh strain, will be difficult for Rangers to cope with.

Manager Ally McCoist is currently missing club captain and top scorer Lee McCulloch due to an ankle injury and is also unable to call upon long-term absentee Kevin Kyle. Naismith took over from Spanish hit man Sandaza against Jackie McNamara's team, but he will be unavailable due to an automatic suspension for his ordering off. Andy Little, who has mainly been utilised wide right this season, likes to play up front and could be moved there to compensate for the loss of Sandaza. However, that would require a major reshuffle of personnel for a game against a team Rangers have found difficult opponents in the 2012/13 campaign. The Spiders gave Rangers a serious scare the last time they crossed the city to play at Ibrox back in October and were unlucky to be on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat. And they were only denied a famous draw against McCoist's men at Hampden at the end of December thanks to a late winner from Fraser Aird.

McCoist said: "Ross has a hamstring strain and it doesn't look great for him with regards to him playing in the game this weekend. We will monitor it "Sandaza has a thigh injury and he will be struggling as well by the look of things. With Naismith getting a straight red we could be missing a few."

However, McCoist will be looking for a vast improvement on the weekend no matter what team he fields against second-placed Queen's Park.

He said: "The performance in the weekend's game was deeply disappointing. We got off to a disastrous start and it went from bad to worse. "We have got everything still to play for. The league is our priority. The players know their responsibility is to go out and make sure they are not flat in the remaining games of the season."
