RICKY BURNS has been voted Boxer of the Year for the second time by the Scottish Ex-Boxers' Association.
The WBO lightweight champion, currently in training for his unification fight with IBF title holder Miguel Vazquez next month, will receive the prestigious award on Sunday.
Ex-Boxers' Association secretary Hugh Dickson said: "Ricky is a credit to Scottish boxing.
"He is not only a model professional, but the perfect role model for the youth of today.
"We are delighted that he will receive the award in person."
Burns manager Alex Morrison said: "Ricky has the utmost respect for the Ex-Boxers' Association.
"He was delighted to win the award last year. To do it a second time will make him even prouder."
