ARCHIE CAMPBELL is set for a place on the Morton bench at Dunfermline tomorrow.
After a superb start to the Irn-Bru First Division campaign, the Ton star has endured a frustrating few months as injuries have stopped him leading the Cappielow forward line.
Boss Allan Moore has plenty of options upfront, with Peter MacDonald coming off a double against Partick Thistle last weekend and Colin McMenamin and Peter Weatherson also pushing for a starting berth against the Pars.
Moore said: "Archie might get a place on the bench tomorrow.
"He has been training and the only worry is his match fitness.
"It is fine playing in our training games when you can play for six minutes and then you can rest and get a stretch but you don't get that in a game.
"The worry is that if he plays 20 or 30 minutes, is something going to happen to his groin?
"We want to have him for the rest of the season so we need to make sure he is ready.
"But he is feeling confident and he is eager to get back playing.
"We might have him on the bench tomorrow because he gives us a different dimension.
"Our other strikers are physical and big and they don't have Archie's pace.
"So hopefully he will be there or there abouts for the Dunfermline match tomorrow."
