TODD LUMSDEN claims his Albion Rovers side won't give up in their battle to beat the drop, despite falling further off the pace in the Irn-Bru Second Division.

Rovers lost more ground on ninth-placed Stranraer when they went down 3-0 against runaway leaders Queen of the South and the Blues picked up a point at home to Stenhousemuir, writes Chris Jack.

With just 13 games left to preserve their league status, Lumsden's side have a 12-point gap to make up at the foot of the standings.

They play the first of two games in hand over Stranraer when they face Forfar tomorrow night and the Cliftonhill boss will fight to the end.

Lumsden said: "We came with a game plan and until the 43rd minute it looked to be working.

"We will pick up our gear, dust ourselves down and get on with the next game. There is nothing else for it."
