Ally McCoist hopes that Thursday's annual general meeting brings peace to Rangers.

The current directors are up for re-election and four nominees are seeking a place on the board, while some supporters have protested against the way the club has been run.

The Ibrox manager is also a shareholder, but he has not yet decided what to do with his vote.

He did previously, though, describe as "suicide" the notion of voting against the current directors of Rangers International Football Club, David Somers, the chairman, Norman Crighton, James Easdale, Graham Wallace, the chief executive, and Brian Stockbridge, the finance director.

Sandy Easdale, who was yesterday appointed chairman of the Rangers Football Club board, denied that former chief executive Charles Green is still influencing decision making at Ibrox, backing similar comments made by Wallace.

McCoist acknowledged that, given those assurances, Green is no longer involved.

"After Thursday, I just hope there's a line drawn in the sand and we can all move forward together," McCoist said.

"Graham (Wallace) has even said it himself that we haven't been good at board level. We've been found wanting in that department.

"The fans have made their views on that crystal clear. We've had three chairmen and chief executives in the past year, (which) would indicate that things aren't right. You want an end to it obviously.

"I haven't fully weighed up the options of which way to vote yet. I'm not sure I'll be making that public but I'll certainly be making my mind up very soon.

"It would be fantastic to walk in here next Friday morning and I don't have to worry about anything at boardroom level.

"The chief executive has said categorically that (Green's) not involved, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be the case."
