CELTIC defeated Trabzonspor 3-1 on their warm-weather training stint in Turkey.

Hoops manager Neil Lennon took the chance to field several players who had not been getting a regular game in Antalya last night.

Lukasz Zaluska started in goals while Nir Biton, Derk Boerrigter, Teemu Pukki and Amido Balde also came into the side.

And the SPFL champions strolled to a fairly comfortable victory in the Turkish Airlines Antalya Winter Cup.

Finnish striker Pukki put the Glasgow club ahead in the Antalya Akdeniz University Stadium on the half hour mark.

He rifled in a powerful shot beyond rival goalkeeper Zeki Ayvaz from 18 yards out.

And former Hibernian defender Sol Bamba put the visitors further in front shortly after that when he turned in an Emilio Izaguirre cross into his own net.

Emre Gural pulled one back for the home team shortly before half-time to give them hope of salvaging a result.

But Balde put the result beyond doubt in the 57th minute with the best goal of the game.

The Portuguese international beat Fatih Ozturk, who had replaced Ayvaz at half-time, from 20 yards.

Youngsters Darnell Fisher and Joe Chalmers both came on in the second half of the match.

Meanwhile, Norwegian club Stromsgodset have confirmed Celtic are interested in their midfielder star Stefan Johansen.

The 23-year-old, considered one of his country's top young players, is valued at around the £2million mark.

However, agent Tore Pedersen stressed that several clubs were monitoring his five-times capped client's progress at the moment.

He said: "There are several clubs from across Europe that have expressed an interest in Stefan.

"He has one year left on his contract so whether something will happen I can't really comment.

"Stefan is with the national team in Abu Dhabi. I suspect he will be there for a week or so."
