WHEN I played for Rangers we had the same routine every week.

We went into Ibrox at 9.30am, went out to train at 10am and then finished up two-and-a-half hours later at 12.30pm. Believe me, two-and-a-half hours is a long time.

I know it differs in some countries, but with the number of games we squeeze into the season in Scotland in a short space of time you have to rest in between.

There are only so many hours you can ask people to train.

Some days you will do a lot of running, some days you will be getting coached and working on set-pieces, some days you will play a full game.

So I do not see why Rangers are being criticised after a copy of their training schedule - if, in fact, it was the actual schedule - was put on the internet.

I think it is just mischief-making by somebody.
