JASON MacPHERSON from Milngavie asked DJ:

What is the best save you have ever seen?

Steve Simonsen got a lot of praise for his save against Forfar this week. And rightly so. It was a fabulous block.

But the best save I have ever seen was, without a shadow of a doubt, Gordon Banks against Brazil at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

Jairzinho played a wonderful ball in from the right wing and Pele rose brilliantly and headed the ball down at goal.

I was certain it was in. How the England keeper Banks managed to get down and palm it over the crossbar I will never know.
