I went to watch our Under-20 side beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon - and it was yet another good performance and win from the boys.

They played some decent stuff and they are having a really good season under Scott McKenzie, which is great to see.

Scott had to build a team in a short period of time over the summer, but he got the players in and got them ready and they have had a number of encouraging results and performances so far.

They play good football and work hard and the main thing for them is that they continue to develop and learn the game.

The boys are taking a lot of things on board and we are really pleased with their progress so far.

There was an Archibald on the bench, but I think he was clutching at straws a bit … there was no chance he was getting on!

We were a bit short of numbers so Archie took his boots along and was named as one of the substitutes. Fortunately for the team, and his legs, he wasn't required.

Alan keeps himself fit and he still trains with the boys when he can. He still likes to get involved and keep himself ticking over, but there was no return to action for him this week.
