FOSTER (7) Earned his place in the history books with his eleventh successive Premiership shut-out.

Had little to do on another quiet afternoon but denied Magennis with a good stop in the second half.

FISHER (7) Coped well with swift Saints wideman Gregg Wylde as he makes the most of his run in the side while right-back rivals Mikael Lustig and Adam Matthews are sidelined.

VAN DIJK (7) Once again strolled through the game with relative ease. Rarely troubled at the heart of the Hoops rearguard and almost got an assist to his name after some neat play in midfield set Stokes away early on.

AMBROSE (7) Has played his part in Celtic's superb defensive record of late and, bar a few slight mishaps, was solid against the Saints. Coped well with the physical presence of Steven Thompson.

IZAGUIRRE (6) Linked well with Mulgrew on the left flank as he roamed forward at every opportunity. Final ball could have been better at times.

FORREST (6) Saw a first-half shot saved after he cut in from the right flank but should have converted after meeting Stokes' cutback just after the hour mark.

BROWN (7) Solid alongside new Bhoy Johansen in the middle of the park. Should have doubled the Hoops' lead on the half hour mark but blasted over from the edge of the box.

JOHANSEN (8) Given his first start since his move from Stromsgodset last month and looking the ideal replacement for Joe Ledley after his deadline-day switch to Crystal Palace.

MULGREW (7) Delivery always threatening from the flanks and had a couple of sniffs at goal, most notably when curling over from a decent position in the second half.

STOKES (6) Must hit the heights Lennon knows he is capable of if he is to retain his place in the team following Leigh Griffiths' arrival. Missed a series of decent chances on a frustrating afternoon.

COMMONS (8) Once again Celtic's most potent attacking weapon. Took just seven minutes to add to his superb tally for the season and was a constant threat.

BOERRIGTER (for Forrest 70) (3)Looked lively in run out. Should have been played in by Stokes late on.

BALDE (for Commons 78) (3) Put himself about in late cameo and saw strike go wide of target.
