WITH the rate of turnover in managerial positions in England these days, hardly a week goes by where Neil Lennon's name is not linked with one position or another.

Given the success he has had with Celtic, it is easy to understand why he would be touted for a job south of the border but, thankfully for Celtic, he has shown no desire to leave Parkhead and have a crack at England.

That is not to say that it won't happen one day. I am sure the time will come where he decides he wants to try something else but he still has plenty more to achieve, and win, at Celtic.

Neil enjoys working at Parkhead and, of course, has a great affinity with the club and the fans.

He will win his third successive league title sooner rather than later, but there is no chance of him becoming bored of the job or the success. He is a highly-motivated individual and there are still challenges for him at Parkhead in the years to come.

Since becoming manager, he has had to build different teams and he is looking to win the league in a different way now. It is not just about finishing top; they are looking to go through the season unbeaten and set records and that is a real stimulus for Neil, the players and the fans.

They will win the league earlier than it has been won for many, many years. But the added incentive of breaking records will keep them motivated and they deserve credit for the way they have gone about their business and this terrific run they are on.

He will soon win another title as Celtic manager and that is something to be extremely proud of. Once that has been ticked off, he will want to win the Scottish Cup and then he will look to build again to have another shot at the Champions League.

The day might come where he decides he needs a fresh challenge, but I don't see it coming any time soon. I think he enjoys being with Celtic and the challenge it brings.

Neil's name is being linked with clubs in England more and more these days when jobs come up. I think that is mainly down to what he has achieved in Europe with Celtic; what happens in Scotland is maybe overlooked down south. But you can't take the titles away from him and he deserves huge credit for winning the leagues and cups he has done.

He has just seen his side break a near 100-year-old record when Fraser Forster bettered Charlie Shaw's tally of 11 consecutive league clean sheets

That is a phenomenal achievement. It doesn't matter who you are playing against, it doesn't take much for the opposition to score a goal.

It could be a wee mistake, a bit of luck with a deflection, a decision that goes against you. It is all credit to the team that they are still pushing themselves and breaking records. In particular, praise has to go to Fraser. He has made some really top saves during this run.

People may be thinking that Neil will look for a way out of Celtic because of the abuse he took at Tynecastle last Saturday, but I don't think that will be the case. Neil has had a lot to suffer over the last few years and it is a disgrace what he has had to put up with.

I thought he spoke very well after the game against St Mirren on Sunday; he didn't point fingers and inflame the situation. He played it down a bit and didn't want to take anything away from Aberdeen.

He has become a stronger person for what he has gone through and he dealt with this latest incident very, very well.

The biggest aspect of it all is that it shouldn't have happened in the first place. It was despicable, there are no ifs or buts about it.

We can only hope that the culprits are caught and brought to task. I would hope there are CCTV cameras there that would have caught it or someone will report it to the relevant authorities.

The day might well come for Neil where he feels it is time to move on and leave Scotland. It will have to be a very good offer to entice him away from Celtic, though.

You never know what will happen in football, but I don't see that situation unfolding in the foreseeable future. He is preparing to build another team in the summer, having already brought in another couple of players in January, and the Champions League will be really high up in his thinking.

But he has got the league to win and the Scottish Cup to retain first and foremost.
