FORMER Rangers star Rino Gattuso has been linked with a shock return to Ibrox as a coach.
The Italian only spent one season in Glasgow after joining from Perugia and went on to enjoy a glittering career in the game that saw him win the 2006 World Cup and two Serie A titles.
Gattuso, whose wife is Glaswegian, is still held in high regard by the Light Blue legions and retains an affection for Rangers and the city.
And reports in Italy last night claimed he could make a surprise return to the club as part of the coaching set-up at Ibrox.
After leaving AC Milan in 2012, Gattuso had a short spell as player-manager of Swiss side Sion before he was sacked as boss of Palermo after just four months last year.
