STENHOUSEMUIR striker John Gemmell has been censured by the SFA after a disciplinary tribunal convened to consider his Twitter comments about Rangers manager Ally McCoist.

The 29-year-old was issued with a notice of complaint by compliance officer Vincent Lunny and was accused of making offensive comments on the social network.

Gemmell was responding to complaints from the Ibrox boss about the number of games his side had to play over the festive period.

McCoist had said that it was unfair for Rangers to be asked to play four matches in 11 days, three of them away from home.

However, the Light Blues manager made light of those comments and the pair shook hands when the clubs clashed on SPFL League One duty following the incident.
