JON Daly today urged his team-mates to ignore all talk of a Rangers Treble - and focus on one game at a time.

Daly was on target in Saturday's 2-0 win over Ayr United at Somerset Park to help fire Gers 23 points clear at SPFL League One summit.

Ally McCoist's men can, if they win their next three league ties, sew up the title when they play Dunfermline at Ibrox on March 15.

Having only dropped two points all season - they drew 1-1 with Stranraer Boxing Day - they can also go through the league undefeated. And with the Light Blues still involved in the William Hill Scottish Cup and the Ramsdens Cup, hopes are high they could lift three trophies this season. But Daly is refusing to look too far ahead. He reckons Rangers will slump to draws and possibly even defeats if they allow themselves to get sidetracked by what they can achieve this season.

The Irishman cautioned: "We can't afford to look too far down the line because when you do that you maybe take your eye off the ball and slip up.

"We just need to concentrate on every game as it comes along.

"When we played at Somerset Park earlier in the season it was difficult.

"It was 0-0 at half-time on that occasion and we managed to get two goals in the second half.

"So we knew that the game against Ayr on Saturday was going to be tough and it was.

"We knew that we would have to concentrate on it fully and we did that.

"The first half didn't go as well as we would have liked it to and Cammy Bell had to make some great saves.

"He has been brilliant for us this season.

"In the second half we started really well and I thought we were really good value for the win in the end."

Daly, w ho took his tally for the 2013/14 campaign to 21 with his header against the Honest Men, added: "Of course going through the whole season undefeated would be fantastic for everyone at the club.

"But we will deal with that at the end of the season. It is something that we will try and do, but we have got a lot of games to go before that happens.

"If we concentrate on winning each one as it comes we have got a chance.

"We are in a position to do that, but we need to focus on each game, take each team that we come up against seriously, so that we don't slip up."
