THE Firhill Cup has become a traditional end-of-season event at the club and I am pleased that it will be held again this year on May 11.

I really enjoyed it last season, it is a great idea and hopefully I will get along again this year.

There was a real family atmosphere around the place and everyone enjoyed it on the day.

The folk that came along had a great time and a lot of the fans had the chance to get their picture taken with the First Division trophy.

There is always lots to do on the day, but the main event is the football.

There will be eight teams of 16 competing to lift the silverware, with Jags fans of all ages and abilities getting their chance to play at Firhill and lift the cup.

If anyone wants me to play in their team, I am open to offers and I will come cheap.

I'm not sure Archie will play right enough, the teams might need to break their budget for him!

I am sure both of us will be there on the day and a few of the lads will get along as well to meet the fans at the end of what is hopefully another successful season for us.

For more details and to book your place in one of the teams, email thefirhillcup@live.co.uk.

Your place will be confirmed once you have made a minimum donation of £20 for 12-16-year-olds and £25 for over 16s. You can also bid to be the captain of your team on the day.
