ALBION ROVERS boss James Ward has urged his players to focus fully on their SPFL League Two game with Queen's Park today.

Ward and his charges will lock horns with Glasgow giants Rangers once again on Monday night in a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay at New Douglas Park.

He still believes his part-time side, who shocked Scottish football when they held the Gers to a 1-1 draw at Ibrox last Sunday, can win and progress.

But he wants them to concentrate on their league meeting with the Spiders at the Excelsior Stadium this afternoon first.

Ward said: "People said we have let our chance to beat Rangers go. But I still firmly believe that we can win the game.

"I have complete faith in my players on a one-off occasion. Their effort and will-to-win in those situations cannot be faulted.

"If anything, I think the result against Rangers has shown the group what they can achieve if they put their minds to it.

"Rangers have high expectations on them and if we can start well, and if the pressure mounts on them, then who knows what we can achieve.

"We are still involved in the cup and will be until we are beaten. We will be doing everything that we can to ensure that that is not on Monday night.

"But for the time being we have to just concentrate on the task in hand and that is defeating Queen's Park this afternoon.

"They are a good side on their day. A victory would be good prepration for the meeting with Rangers next week.

"It would keep our confidence levels high. We are all still buzzing after the weekend and hopefully we can do ourselves proud again in the replay."
