GORDON DURIE is set to take some of his Rangers youth players to Hong Kong for this year's HKFC Citibank Soccer Sevens in May.

The Ibrox colts will line up alongside starlets from Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Sunderland and reigning champions Leicester.

Asian champions Guangzhou Evergrande, winners of the Chinese Super League for the last three years, will make their tournament debut.

There will also be a group of Rangers heroes including Andy Goram, Michael Mols and Nacho Novo, playing in the Masters tournament, which runs alongside the main competition.

Durie is looking forward to taking some of his most exciting prospects from the under-20 team which is still chasing a league and SFA Youth Cup double to Asia.

He said: "This year's trip will be an excellent opportunity for some of the club's younger players, who have been terrific for us in the SPFL Under-20 League."
