BELL (6) Relieved not to concede an early penalty when Trouten went to ground.
Left exposed by his defence as Thomson pulled Brechin level early in the second half.
FOSTER (6) Slack pass in the build-up to the City penalty shout and was caught out a couple of times early on but was better after the break.
McCULLOCH (6) Marshalled the Rangers rearguard well but saw his side's clean sheet record on the road come to an end.
MOHSNI (5) Not one of his best performances in Light Blue. Should have done better as Thomson ran across him to equalise just after the break.
WALLACE (6) Comfortable at left-back but not his usual rampaging self down the flank. Had the Gers fans sweating when he suffered a knock early in the second half but recovered to help McCoist's men over the line.
GALLAGHER (6) Handed his second consecutive start following appearances against Dunfermline and Albion Rovers in the last week. Put in a solid shift on the right-hand side and did his chances of more first-team action no harm.
LAW (3) Midfielder started brightly but didn't see the half-hour mark as he was forced off with a back injury.
BLACK (6) Had a hand in the Gers' opener and was combative in the middle of the park. Suffered a nasty looking knock midway through the second half and was in some discomfort as he was stretchered off.
AIRD (6) Capped a bright first half with a well-taken goal as he made the most of a defensive lapse to slot home well beyond Graeme Smith. Almost made it 3-1 with a low shot.
SHIELS (5) Had little joy up top alongside Daly as he struggled to influence the game in the final third. Dropped back into midfield following Black's injury.
DALY (6) Revelled in the aerial battle with the Brechin rearguard but had few sights of goal. Neat chipped cross set up Clark to put Gers 2-1 ahead.
FAURE (6) (for Law) Not the creative presence Rangers needed following the loss of Law. Did a decent job in the midfield, however.
CLARK (6) (for Black) Made an immediate impact as he put the Gers 2-1 ahead with his first touch of the game, heading home Daly's chipped cross.
