FORSTER (6) Made decent saves from Gary Fraser, Lyle Taylor and Stephen O'Donnell in the second half.

Unable to keep out a late effort from Christie Elliott.

MATTHEWS (5) The Welsh right-back got upfield to complement his side's attacking moves whenever play allowed. Came off at half-time.

AMBROSE (7) Did well to help repel wave after wave of Thistle attacks during a period of sustained pressure in the first half. Excelled in the air throughout the 90 minutes.

VAN DIJK (6) Quieter than he has been at times in the 2013/14 campaign. Still showed great composure at the back and moved forward with poise and purpose.

IZAGUIRRE (7) Whipped in an inch-perfect cross to Anthony Stokes to get the celebrations underway. Set the tone for an impressive personal performance.

BROWN (6) The Celtic captain performed with all of his usual tenacity in the centre of the park. JOHANSEN (7) Grows in confidence with every game. Has a fine range of passing and exhibited this to great effect on an immaculate playing surface. Took his goal superbly.

MULGREW (6) Lucky just to be booked for a foul on Prince Buaben when the Ghanaian was advancing on goal. Moved to centre-half in the second half and did well.

COMMONS (5) Probed relentlessly for an opening. Was finally rewarded for his endeavour when he stroked home in injury-time.

STOKES (7) Opened the scoring in the third minute when he headed in a Emilio Izaguirre cross from close range. Netted a beauty at the death.

GRIFFITHS (5) Did not receive great service from his team-mates. On the rare occasions he did, though, the striker could do very little with it. Had a goal chalked off for offside.

HENDERSON (6) The youngster scored his first goal for Celtic shortly after coming on in the second half. Looks a real prospect.

KAYAL (3) Took over from Mulgrew in the second half. Made little impact.

SAMARAS (3) Came on for Griffiths near the end. Teed-up Commons for a goal.
