KRIS DOOLAN and Kallum Higginbotham have been nominated for the PFA Scotland Goal of the Season award for their strikes against Hibernian and Motherwell - and I hope both go close when the votes are counted.

It is hard to split them to be honest.

Both goals came at important stages of the respective games but, unfortunately, we couldn't hold on to win either match.

Dools scored at Easter Road to put us 1-0 up. It was a great individual effort, as he ran from the halfway line and finished it really well.

He has been terrific for us this season and that is certainly one of the highlights for him.

Higgy had a great game at Motherwell and showed what he is capable of with a great goal.

He picked the ball up just inside our half and beat a couple of players before finding the far corner from an angle.

They are two of the best goals we have scored this season and I am pleased for the lads to get recognition.

Details of how to vote for Dools and Higgy are on the Thistle website, so hopefully the Jags fans can play a part in helping to get the two of them in the running for the award.
