SCOTLAND haved missed the annual game against England since the Home Internationals ended.

So I was pleased to see that the SFA are in talks with the FA about holding a friendly between the two countries in Glasgow in November.

Personally, I would like it to become a regular fixture on the football calendar.

The game at Wembley last year was fantastic and Gordon Strachan's side was unlucky to lose 3-2.

And the national team is even better now! I would fancy their chances in the rematch if everybody is fit.

It would be a good exercise for both sets of players and would be great for supporters of both countries.

When I played the meeting with the Auld Enemy was something you looked forward to at the end of every season whether it was at Hampden or Wembley. I played once at Wembley in 1973 when Scotland were beaten 1-0.

But it was a great walking out on the park and seeing tens of thousands of your fans all decked out in tartan. I used to go as a fan if I wasn't involved. I would love to see it return.
