SCOTT BROWN wants to be a serial winner … but he is only too aware the script can go wrong at any time.

Which is why any and every trophy day is to be savoured, and any talk of 10-in-a-row snuffed out at source.

The Celtic skipper has experienced enough ups and downs during his seven years at the club to look cautiously when viewing the future.

And, as he prepares to collect the SPFL trophy tomorrow, Brown said: "Keeping the title drives us on.

"But we're not saying we're going to go on and win 10-in-a-row, and it's going to be easy for us.

"We'll try and go for four-in-a-row and take it from there."

He continued: "Hopefully, we can keep this bunch of lads together and keep things going.

"But, it's going to be hard because people are going to want to buy the likes of Fraser (Forster), Kris (Commons) and big Virgil (van Dijk) as well.

"It's going to be hard for us to keep our best players, but hopefully we can."

Brown hopes the thrill he gets from winning trophies is shared by his team-mates and makes them think twice about leaving, if and when offers come.

He assures them it's something a player can never get jaded with.

"It's huge to win the league," Brown said. "It's always special.

"You try to take in every moment of success, especially after you've won something when you can do the lap of honour in front of all the fans."

Not even the fact they are already well odds-on favourites to retain the title next season, and for the foreseeable future, can dilute the achievement in Brown's eyes.

"Everyone just expects us to go out and win the league with 10 games to go," acknowledged the man who crossed the line with his team-mates with eight to go this time.

"People don't understand, though, that we've got to beat the teams that sit back and make it as difficult as possible, 10 men behind the ball, week in and week out.

"They come to get a 0-0, maybe try to get a goal and then defend for their lives.

"We put ourselves under a lot of pressure because in that dressing room we don't like getting beaten.

"It's about aiming for that level of performance every week."
