FORSTER (7) Unfortunate not to add another clean sheet to extend his personal best for a campaign as he waits for confirmation of a World Cup place.

Saw El Alagui blast over after he parried a Wilson shot, and also saved from Armstrong.

LUSTIG (7) Gradually getting back to form. Used height effectively as United played in diagonal crosses.

AMBROSE (6) Last appearance in Hoops before heading to World Cup. Took his usual chances, and got away with them.

VAN DIJK (6) Another stroll for the Dutchman, who could have played in flip flops. When outjumped by El Alagui to let Armstrong in, it looked like he was.

TWARDZIK (6) Having successfully recovered from surgery, made first appearance since September 2012 for the holidaying Izaguirre. Clever in possession, and unlucky to deflect Mackay-Steven cross past Forster for United goal.

BROWN (7) Preceded lifting trophy by cajoling team-mates to chase another three points. Got forward, but couldn't add to his late-season goals burst.

JOHANSEN (8) Played as though it was first game of season, not last, battling for every ball and trying to make things happen.

MULGREW (6) Back in midfield after stint at left-back in midweek, and clearly more comfortable.

COMMONS (7) Ahead of picking up the Scottish Football Writers' Player of the Year award, offered usual menace in final third. Crossed for Stokes' opener, then on hand to knock in Hoops' third for No.32 of his goal-den season.

GRIFFITHS (7) Usual busy shift from the striker, who has now added a SPFL Premiership medal to the Sky Bet League One gong he earned with Wolves before January move north. Shoot-on-sight policy kept Cierzniak on his toes.

STOKES (7) On the periphery of the action in first half. But, typically, popped up to head home opener after break for 21st goal of season, equalling his best tally for Hoops.

SAMARAS (7) Took final bow when replacing Griffiths on hour mark. Won penalty and took it himself to make it 2-0, to huge acclaim.

KAYAL (4) Late sub for Lustig, was on long enough to get booked.

PUKKI (4) Replaced Twardzik with seven minutes to go.
