RANGERS have extended their ticket office's opening hours over this weekend due to "high last-minute demand" for season tickets.

The deadline for Gers fans renewing their season books was to have been at eight o'clock last night.

However, Light Blues followers can now go into the Rangers Ticket Centre at Ibrox between 10am and 4pm today and tomorrow.

The development follows speculation about how many have signed up for the 2014/15 SPFL Championship campaign.

The Union of Fans - an umbrella group comprising six organisations - has been urging supporters to withhold their season ticket cash.

Former director Dave King set up Ibrox 1972 Ltd for fans to pledge their money to.

The club board is currently deciding whether to give legal assurances over Ibrox and Murray Park.

That follows talks between senior officials, including chief executive Graham Wallace, and Union representatives at Ibrox on Wednesday.
